Sketch for Survival Campaign

Charles the Lion

I’ve just posted my Charles the Lion signed sketch for this years #Sketchforsurvival 2018 campaign, a major exhibition of wildlife art. Last year the campaign raised nearly £40,000 for wildlife conservation.

Following the sucess of last year they have decided to take the collection of artworks on a U.K. Tour in October and November. The work will be exhibited in many galleries including Gallery Oxo on London’s Southbank and  include 3 days in New York. The collection will then be auctioned online in November with the profit donated to nominated projects to help protect endangered species extinction.

For my contribution I decided to draw Charles the Lion looking dapper in his top hat and bow tie with a little birdy jumping about on top (also wearing a top hat and bow tie). Did you know there’s less than 25,000 lions left in the wild?

The campaign is organised by The Real Africa Trust- www.explorersagainstextinction.co.uk. Twitter account: @realafrica
